Sutherland Global Services

"A thousand friends are few; one enemy is too many." -- Russian proverb

The same wisdom applies in the ongoing bitterness between the World renowned company, Sutherland Global Services and few of the terminated employees. This toxic group of disgruntled employees is trying to malign the company’s name and I must admit that they have succeeded in their motives to an extent.

I am part of Sutherland Global Services and it hurts to see how ungrateful people become to serve their own vested interests. I have been with the company since 2004 October and can say that the postings and negative comments that are being circulated all over the web are not completely true. Working conditions in Sutherland Global Services are fine and people do get breaks, commissions, and bonuses. Sutherland takes care of its people genuinely. Those who are unhappy will remain unhappy anyway, no matter what you do for them. Cribbing is the favorite pastime of these grouches.

Regarding terminations, there has not been even a single unlawful dismissal as being alleged by this toxic group. I agree the company has taken strict measures but it was done to ensure discipline and enhance productivity. It happens in every organization. Management has to keep a tab to ensure that no one is misusing company’s assets or leaking out confidential information.

From my first hand experience in Sutherland Global Services, I would like the world know that Sutherland employees work in the finest quality working conditions. The moment you step inside in the Sutherland domain the enthusiasm and the work culture on the floor is something that totally negates the fact that employees in Sutherland Global Services are stressed out due to the workload. It’s my earnest request to all the sensible souls of Sutherland not to let anyone use the situation to serve their selfish interests. And folks believe me; the company is doing well with some of the unproductive resources made to look out for other avenues that match their talent (or the lack of it). Hi Everybody,

To say about my CEO Mr. Dillip Vellodi is very simple but worthful. Below are few logical things of him:

1. He feeds approximately 25000 employees families overall the globe.

2. To say about his services in India, there are about 600 families of cab drivers and cab owners who are having their daily bread which is earned by them for their services at Sutherland Global Services.

3. In India there are many tea shops, Hotels, Pan Shops, Credit Card agents, Cell Phone Operators and their agents get their business from Sutherland. Literally to say they should be gratitude to Sutherland Global services for having their earnings from Sutherland for their daily bread.

4. I regret to say that there were and there are few ungratitude employees who cheat the company without giving their sincere services.

i worked in suth mexico and let me tell everybody, it is a great company and one of the best call centers

my hope is that suth mex employ more people for this 2008 and that more companies sign with suth so we can get those jobs

I truly adore Mr. Dilip Vellodi.At the same time,i pity that his efforts to bring up sutherland will crumble one day mainly because he has placed some people in big positions, blindly trusting them.

These big heads in turn are promoting and giving opportunities to their favourite persons or friends.

For instance,There is a process called SAGE with two programs-ACT and Time Slips.

It was well handled by Mr.RAGU Kumar(PM) assisted by a well talented JOHN Mosses as Team Leader.He promoted the agents who proved themselves on the floor and performed well.The Agents were well disciplined and performed well because of his encouraging words.

Due to some internal politics,He was moved to COL and a Man called AMAR shetty was brought in only to make things WORSE.He brought the fact that promotions will be given according to seniority even if they were non performers.There started the DECLINE of Sage.All the performing agents felt dis heartened and slowly started moving out.

Even AMAR did not stay for long.He left after getting a job in CAP GEMINI,after disturbing the Sage process.

Some BAD elements from HP process were slowly shifted into SAGE and these CUNNING people started side lining the already experienced Sage Employees.One such Creature is VIMALA who is FIT FOR NOTHING.All these ELEMENTS lost their job in HP mainly because of Mal practices and since the HP process went out of Sutherland.

This VIMALA creature is like a WEED which grows on others hard work.She took the credit of others and was paid a high salary of almost 50,000 per month for doing nothing.How can sutherland afford so much for non_performer?The pity is that such creatures were allowed to survive in Sage because of which Tenured agents were sidelined.

A Person called VINODH came as PM.He showed great expertise and during SAGE Anniversary gave a speech that"I Am Here to Groom Managers".That statement needs to be corrected;"I Am Here to Groom Ony My Friends As Managers".

He too started showing his true colors after some time.He totally sidelined the hard working Tenured Agents and was Playing dirty politics on bringing up his friend and comrades into a higher position in SAGE.In the recent PDRP Criteria,He denied promotion of many Tenured Agents stating Lame reasons.He suddenly brought in some new criteria for promotion.All this was done to deny promotion of many Deserving Agents.But when it came to one Mr. Prem Prabhakaran,He promoted him as L3(Team Leader).Why iam mentioning this name is,Prem Prabhakaran was promoted just 3 months back as L2.5(ACCORDING TO SUTHERLAND POLICY AN AGENT SHOULD NOT BE PROMOTED TWICE IN A YEAR).The main reason being that VINODH KUMAR AND PREM PRABHAKARAN INITIALLY WORKED FOR HP TOGETHER.So Vinodh FLUSHED Sutherland Policy and Promoted His Companion,Prem Prabhakaran.

WHY are the CONCERNED HIGHER AUTHORITIES not seeing these things?

Sage is not VINODH KUMAR's Ancestral Property that he promotes only his favourite persons and deny Promotions of performers and hard workers.

WHAT ACTION WILL SUTHERLAND TAKE ON PEOPLE LIKE VINODH KUMAR,VIMALA?

I am a female Employee of SAGE who is writing this comment mainly because I Truly Adore SUTHERLAND and THESE HAPPENINGS IN SAGE IS WORRYING ME A LOT.
SAGE will loose good agents(IT HAS ALREADY LOST SOME,THANKS TO VINODH KUMAR AND VIMALA).SUTHERLAND will also loose such good PROGRAMS and its REPUTATION because of people like VINODH AND VIMALA.

WHO IS GOING TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST THEM???

Its got the best leadership team and a very friendly atomsphere to work-in. Yes those who quit the corp may not feel as if there was enough room for them, but end of day is what they assume.

Most of the men who learnt from Sutherland, agree to the fact that they can deliver the best in any organization simply because they learnt the best. Who quit had their own reasons, either could not rise-up the ladder. I resigned from the corporate but never quit it. I got beter options in my career path and hence moved. I have no reason to blame my org.

I feel i am Sutherlander in a different corporate because i Suth is my homeground and i never feel away from it.

Thos who blame the Suth, why did you join this place incase if it was so bad. Its too bad to spit in the plate you eat.

I STRONGLY STAND FOR SUTHERLAND AS THE BEST PLACE TO BE IF YOU WANNA BE IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE INDUSTRY.

I have worked for Sutherland for about a year and I noticed many of the people that moved up within my program were the people who were friends of those in upper managment. These people I have seen first hand drinking together and smoking non tobacco products together are the people that are moving up within my program and are top managers. I have only seen a few people move up within the company that I actually feel was performance based and not based on who they knew and were friends with. There are certainly employees here that work much harder and kiss less ass that deserve to have moved up within the company.

It needs a vision to see beyon the horizon.. you stated what you only wanted to see.. I started as a tech and in those 3.8 years never saw this.. seems u had enough time for watching.. well u can go up but cannot sustain with that said. I still am firm on what i said.

Hi Sutherlanders,

My hearty congratulations for being a part of Sutherland Global Services. It is one among the best BPO to work with. Lol! you know, this is my Job. I love to work for Sutherland... but for some reasons I am going to resign from Sutherland. This is not due to the company, but mere personal reasons. If I have a chance, I would love to come back to work for Sutherland.

The Sad Part of the Story: Those parasites who live on Sutherland's blood are not providing enough care to their work...

The reason why I am saying this is, due to the bad attitude shown by MGS, a subcontractor for Sutherland Cochin. They have good looking cabs, a lot of facilities, and the people who work for MGS are not concerned about the employees. I have to travel more than 160 kms a day... among this 90 kms would be in the cab...the cab operators think that they are something really great and after the 10hrs shift, on the way back to home, we would never get the cab on time. Especially, if an employee asks "why the cab is late?" the very next day, he/she will provided with the best slow driver. The cab will not accelerate to a speed more than 40 KM/hr. As I said, after covering the 40km in cab, i have to go another 42 kms by bus. I have gone through such situations without asking such questions.I am very much adaptable.. I used to sleep in the cab if I am provided with a slow driver. The reason why he is driving slow is he do not know the value of time. or he might be having a bad cab without proper care. Whatever happens !!! Is it required to get another CAB service for Sutherland Cochin or the authorities please try to inform about the same to MGS. If we say some thing, it is due to our pathetic situations and they will take it in the wrong sense. I think it is not curable. Apart for all this MGS is a parasite of Sutherland and it is sucking out more than required for what it is doing. job security is a major problem in sutherland, as you know we would not be able to predict what happens tomorrow. Almost all the employees are putting their best to sustain with Sutherland, but these **** cab drivers do not know that we are the earning potential of the company. With out good and loyal employees, a company cannot grow like this. This is the truth .

A bit frustrated due to todays incident, the cab driver was damn slow. It to almost almost 4 hrs to reach back home after completing the 10 hrs shift. (40 kms covered by cab in 2 hrs 50 minutes and the remaining 45 kms covered by bus in 1 hr) . Look at the time difference .. Is this really required.. If this happens on a daily basis, I would have to spend 8 hrs on an average for transportation, I am not asking for an impossible thing... It is possible to arrange a better cab service as we are spending more than 45 lacs per month for transportation. We are the Global service providers, we can expect some in return as services...lol

Sutherland is the best call centre among other centres ..I'm proud to say that i was a sutherland employee .. I want to be a part of it .. Hope sutherland will recruit more people and will introduce more process to work ..
